DIRECTIONS




  • Set up includes: -



  1. Peg board centered in front of the client

  2. Box of pegs needs to be situated on the side of the tested hand



  • Test first the dominant hand

  • Ask client to stabilize the peg board with non-dominant hand during the assessment

  • Instruct client:



  1. First, the pegs are taken one at a time using only one hand (right or left) and placed in the hole until the board is filled

  2. Second, the pegs are removed from the board using only one hand (the hand being assessed), the other hand is used to stabilize the board

  3. Third, you will have client do a practice test and encourage to be performed as fast as possible

  4. Fourth, ask client to perform the test and encourage to increase speed during the process



  • Have the client perform once the test on dominant hand and once on the non-dominant hand
